The Next Generation.....

"I wanted to create a realistic bear look
 with an artistic design. "

- Michael J. Woessner

(Excerpts From Teddy Bear & Friends Magazine)

Joan & Mike's son, Michael, started out helping Joan design a line of realistic bears.  Michael helped stitch and stuff and soon took over this line of bears.

Influenced by his parents and a dose of inherited talent, Michael invented a line of realistic teddies that not only look like real bears, they are real-bear sizes.

"I get so excited when I see the expression on people's faces
when they first see my bears,"

Michael redesigned his mother's original pattern for a line of black bears by developing a pattern with invisible seams and smoother construction around the face.

Michael uses various techniques in each bear to create the "real bear" look.  Each bear has spring mounted claws; some also have springs mounted in the arms and legs.
